WebLinc Named a ‘Top Workplace’ by Philly.com

Community Culture, Supportive Management and Dynamic Environment Drive Loyalty and Productivity at eCommerce Platform and Services Company

PHILADELPHIA – March 25, 2014 – WebLinc, the eCommerce platform and services provider for the fastest growing online retailers, today announced that it has been selected as one of The Philly.com Top Workplaces.  Of the more than 1,400 companies invited to participate, 100 were selected.

Founded in 1994 by brothers Darren and Jason Hill, WebLinc has grown organically over two decades and currently builds and manages ecommerce websites, mobile sites, mobile apps and other technologies for some of the fastest growing online retailers including Nasty Gal, the U.S. Polo Assn., Hello Kitty/Sanrio, Yarn.com and URBN’s Free People and Terrain brands, among others.

From the beginning, WebLinc has been an employee-centric business, a mission that is validated by its place on the Philly.com list, which is determined based solely on employee feedback. The Top Workplaces employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.

“It’s an honor to be named one of the best workplaces in one of America’s best cities,” said WebLinc co-founder and CEO, Darren Hill.  “We’ve been fortunate enough to build a team of intelligent, articulate, well-rounded individuals who have the work-life balance down, yet are incredibly devoted to what they do.  I know we’ve built a company culture that employees appreciate when I consistently see our team going that extra mile on their own accord.  It shines through in the product we deliver and in a workplace I can confidently say our employees value.”

WebLinc’s success as a top workplace is built on three main principles that have driven loyalty among employees: its community culture, supportive management team and dynamic environment.  Employees at the company attest to mutual respect and a commitment to producing quality work, improving their respective skill sets and contributing effectively for the good of their company and their teams.  WebLinc’s management has actively supported this culture by maintaining a family feel despite the company’s rapid growth, and by activities such as lunch events, team building trips, and a casual work environment.  The management team has also made a commitment to always being open to new ideas and innovative approaches, in turn giving its talented team of developers new challenges and cutting edge technology to work with.

WorkplaceDynamics, which conducted the Philly.com survey, conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the United States. Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and 1 in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees. Through its workplace improvement offerings, WorkplaceDynamics provides solutions, training and tools to help clients improve their workplace.
