BVAccel Expands Its Workarea Platform Practice With Acquisition of WebLinc’s Agency Division

I am happy to share some exciting news for the Workarea community. Today, BVAccel, a leading end-to-end commerce agency and current Workarea partner, has entered into an agreement to acquire the commerce agency division of WebLinc. This highly experienced 40-person Philadelphia-based team will remain focused on implementing the Workarea platform, and continue their projects without interruption.

What this means for Workarea:

This transaction does not include the Workarea ecommerce platform business and represents the final chapter in our plan to be a company 100% focused on building the world’s leading enterprise commerce software. The Workarea team will continue to innovate on the product, enabling our solution partners, including BVAccel to continue to service and consult our valued customers.

What this means for our Customers:

We (The Workarea Team) will continue to support you as your commerce platform software and infrastructure partner, and have many exciting enhancements and additions planned on our roadmap, some that will be announced at our Summit this week.

The WebLinc delivery teams that are engaged on customer projects currently will remain engaged and intact, just now working as BVAccel employees.  We do not anticipate any interruption in service of your currently scheduled work. Standard points of contact for project communication and production support communication will largely remain unchanged. Our customers are encouraged to reach out to Cheryl Amaya our Director of Customer Success (, or me directly with any questions.

For those customers that are working with one of our solutions partners for implementation services or have trained technical staff to support their Workarea systems, this transaction has little impact to our working relationship.

What this means for our Solutions Partners:

This transaction represents our commitment to providing merchants who choose the Workarea Commerce Platform a choice among our diverse and growing network of Solution Partners. We will continue to invest time and resources into this growing community so that our joint customers continue to get the best value from the Workarea platform. Please reach out to Avery Amaya, our CRO (  if you have any questions.

What this means for BVAccel:

Having historically been heavily focused on Shopify Plus, BVAccel saw an opportunity in the Workarea platform to service a part of the market with needs that extend beyond the capabilities of the Shopify Plus platform. With this transaction, BVAccel will be a leading Workarea implementer.

I look forward to seeing many of you in person this week at our Summit.
