That’s why when Mighty Leaf Tea came to WebLinc to redesign and retool mightyleaf.com, they didn’t just get a place to sell tea, they got a site that delivers the tea lifestyle online.
To maintain the character of the tea lifestyle, integration of form and function became especially important. Passionate tea drinkers expect more than just pretty pictures; they need instant access, but also the ability to delve deeper into product details. That’s why each product has a Quick View window where users can add to their cart, create a wish list or email to a friend. If they want to learn more about the product, they can click through to the product detail page to read reviews, descriptions, ingredients, origins, even health benefits and uses.
When a customer finds what they want, they’re give the opportunity to add their tea purchase to a Recurring Order program that allows them to choose the quantity and frequency of recurring orders right from the product detail page. And, because free trials spur new purchases, a sampling program was implemented so that users can choose two free tea samples with every order. Both of these custom functionalities were built by WebLinc specifically for Mighty Leaf to create new flows of revenue, encourage brand loyalty, and simplify the ordering process.
Similarly, the custom-tailored ML Boutique, previously a separate site, was rebuilt from scratch to highlight Mighty Leaf’s luxury line of teas and gifts. The ML Boutique uses a more posh aesthetic compared to the rest of the site, yet still evokes a similar sense of warmth. Like the interior design at a spa, the lush graphics mirror the content: comfort, calm, and relaxation.
For advanced search capabilities, WebLinc teamed up with its partner SLI Systems, enabling a swath of topics to search by including caffeine content, ingredients, ratings and even mood. SLI Systems also uses a patented Learning Search that tracks aggregate customer queries and uses the data to create a smart search, delivering to users the most relevant pages.
For product reviews, Mighty Leaf and WebLinc integrated with BazaarVoice, a leader in the social commerce industry. The user-generated content increases customer participation and loyalty, boosts organic search traffic, and keeps potential conversions on site for product research, enabling the online community to further coalesce around the Mighty Leaf brand.
