AAA Mid-Atlantic has served the needs of millions of people by providing roadside assistance, travel directions, membership discounts and more to members throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. So when they came to WebLinc to develop a site that would serve the needs of this many different people, places and purposes, WebLinc hit the gas.
Using the WebLinc eCommerce system, they are able to reign in, streamline and apply the massive amount of data collected from multiple AAA databases, enable users to seamlessly move from site to site without multiple sign-ins, and control it all with an AJAX-based backend that’s ready for just about anything. On the frontend, nearly every application was completely customized by WebLinc for AAA, including brand-specific discount engines, cross-site compatible merchandising tools, and a ton of other features and functions that make usability a breeze.
The frontend is packed with tested features, functions and applications that are unique to the AAA membership. Hundreds of pages, hosted locally and on affiliate sites, offer special deals and discounts that require AAA membership. So rather than having to sign-in to so many sites, WebLinc created a Single Sign-On system, providing seamless transitions between the sites. Users can browse from page to page and even be transferred between multiple partners without having to login multiple times.
The back end is completely streamlined by the WebLinc eCommerce system enabling users of all skill levels to manage site updates. The interactive AJAX-based administration interface allows the AAA team to drag, drop, highlight, get feedback and save with no more than the click of a button. Data transmission back and forth from the AAA Mid-Atlantic branch to the national branch is done through a fluid process tailor-made by WebLinc for AAA’s specific membership parameters.
The site as a whole is a model in scalability and efficiency, enabling AAA to meet the demands of its expansive service packages and huge membership, while maintaining a user-friendly site for both the internal staff and AAA members.
