Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is to lead large-scale development projects by both doing the work and delegating tasks out to a staff of 2 to 10 technical team members.
The Software Engineer is responsible for the architecture and development of WebLinc’s software solutions. This individual must work well within the Project Management, Interface Design and Marketing teams and across multiple projects.
The Senior Software Engineer will need to quickly learn a complex e-commerce solution, have extensive experience architecting complex, transactional, software solutions and be disciplined in development methodology, including open communications during design, development and launch phases.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years experience in Technical Development
Requirements
- Experience developing e-commerce solutions.
- Experience architecting, designing, implementing highly scalable, transactional, web applications.
- Experience working with Project Managers to define project requirements, user interfaces and make architectural tradeoff given requirements.
- 5+ years Project Lead for software products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self disciplined in a development environment that requires system testing, documentation, adherence to coding standards and naming conventions.
- Attention to detail, highly self-motivated.
- Expertise in one or many of the following languages: ASP.NET, JAVA, ColdFusion
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
