Day-to-day
Consists of developing client-side technology for ecommerce websites in a team environment. Working closely with the design and back-end development teams to integrate server and client-side technologies. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Developers that struggle with "attention to details", need not apply.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years experience in web development
- HTML5 & CSS
- JavaScript (jQuery & jQuery UI), AJAX, JSON, XML
- Version Control: Git, SVN
- Working knowledge of accessibility & usability best practices and techniques
- Experience with backend frameworks (MVC-based systems)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience working with clients directly (in person meetings, conference calls, etc)
- Standards-compliant code / Cross-browser compatible code (back to Internet Explorer 6)
- Firm understanding of Progressive Enhancement / Graceful Degradation
Bonus!
- UI/UX Training
- Experience optimizing browser loading / rendering
- Experience writing jQuery plugins
- Working knowledge of ColdFusion
- Experience with mobile libraries (iUI) or frameworks
- Search Engine Optimization knowledge a plus
- Flash & ActionScript a plus
